Who we are
Backgrounds is operated by VenustAI. This policy covers backgrounds.venust.ai, including the image library, Hero Builder and enquiry page. For privacy questions or requests, email info@venust.ai.
What stays on your device
Hero Builder saves your draft in your browser’s local storage so you can return to it. This may include the words you type, image selections and design settings. Uploaded images stay in the current browser session and are not included in saved drafts or analytics.
We also store your analytics choice, policy version and expiry date locally for up to 180 days. We use no tracking identifier for this preference. You can remove local drafts and preferences through your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing site data also removes saved work.
Optional analytics
With your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand page views, navigation clicks, image and prompt download clicks, successful prompt copies and selected Hero Builder actions.
Google uses first-party cookies to distinguish browser visits and measure sessions. These are browser identifiers, not accounts identifying you by name. Google also processes technical information such as browser, device and approximate location. Requests to Google expose your IP address as part of the network connection.
Our custom event data is limited to known page paths, catalog asset and theme IDs, file formats, and fixed layout or preset choices. A download click indicates intent; it does not prove that a file finished downloading.
Our custom events exclude enquiry text, names, email addresses, search terms, custom hero copy, uploaded files and full link URLs. We strip query strings and fragments from the page locations we send. Advertising consent stays off, and our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization. We do not add session recordings or fingerprinting tools.
Our analytics cookies use the venust_backgrounds_ prefix, are scoped to this subdomain and expire after up to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. Google may process information outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics uses data.
Your choice
You can accept or reject optional analytics without losing access to downloads or tools. Use “Privacy choices” in the footer to change your preference at any time. Rejecting stops future analytics activity; it cannot recall information already received by a provider. Withdrawing consent disables further collection by our Google tag and clears this site’s analytics cookies.
Preferences apply to this browser. Changing the provider, data uses or consent version requires a new choice. Without an accepted, current choice, analytics events are dropped rather than saved for later.
Project enquiries
The enquiry form prepares a draft in your email app. Filling it out does not submit it to VenustAI. If you choose to send the email, the information you include is delivered to info@venust.ai through your email provider and may be used to respond to your request and discuss the project.
Do not include sensitive personal information in a project brief. Contact us if you would like to access, correct or request deletion of information you have sent us. Some records may need to be retained for legal or business obligations.
Hosting and external sites
Delivering a website requires network requests. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical request information such as IP addresses, browser information and requested files for delivery, security and troubleshooting. This is separate from the optional analytics described above.
Links to VenustAI, its restaurant site, Instagram and other external destinations are governed by those sites’ privacy practices. Following a link may disclose normal connection and referrer information to the destination. This library does not control their data collection.
Retention and changes
Browser drafts remain until replaced or removed, and consent preferences expire after 180 days. Google stores consented analytics data according to the property’s retention settings. Cookie expiry and removal do not delete reports already received by Google; aggregated reports can remain longer than individual event records.
